About

Metro Cage is a one-person web studio. I design it, build it, test it, ship it, wire up the domain, and make it findable — the whole path from a blank page to a live, tested site, handled end to end by someone who actually cares that it works.

The name is a quiet joke that stuck. Metro is simply Dmytro, sanded down to something you can say on the first try. Cage comes from a test database at work — the one our team fills, lovingly and entirely, with Nicolas Cage and his family as stand-in users to build features against. I added myself to it as a persona named Metro Cage, and the name followed me out.

So the studio takes its name from a character in a test database — and that fits. The work runs on the same instinct: build for real people, test against them, and ship something that holds.

Designed. Built. Tested. Shipped.

There's a story behind the name, and more folded into the mark. Some of it I'll tell in time.
